The Beginning
Kanhaji was born from a simple idea — two cultures, one kitchen. Founded by a team passionate about bringing authentic Indian and Japanese groceries to families across Japan, we launched our first store with curated pantry staples delivered fresh across Tokyo.
Expanding Our Shelves
Customer demand drove us to expand rapidly. We added Specialty Foods and Lifestyle goods — transforming Kanhaji into a one-stop destination for premium everyday shopping. Our catalogue grew to hundreds of handpicked products from trusted suppliers.
